So, I saw the commercial for "Gossip Girl" coming this 2007 Fall season the CW (most places channel 11) network. The cast seamed pretty good, newcomers and that girl from "The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants" movie. The show was shot in NYC, I'm sure because I was notified of extra (background) work here.
The trailer seemed interesting...well okay, it looks pretty hot with all those fancy-ness going around. And it has been a long time since the crappy CW has put out a decent show. I think I'm going to watch this one. The creator of this show is the same guy that did The O.C., so you might give it a shot... I think his name is Jason Schwartz. Is it?
The book is pretty good so far for teen fiction category, though conservative parents probably (maybe) might not let their teens read it. It has curse words, lots of sex and scandal, which for me is "the more, the better."
The author is this woman by the name of Cecily von Ziegesar, which sounds a little hard to pronounce, but I shouldn't be complaining myself with a 13 letter last name.
The Gossip Girl has her own website too, Gossip Girl dot net.
There is a United Kingdom version of Gossip Girl dot net too.
So basically, all you need to know is : hot girls, hot guys, sex, alcohol, scandal and expensive luxury which equals to a fun teen intrigue.
